My introduction:
Many people ask me why I prefer PIC microcontrollers. And I say to them - because they are awesomer than the rest, cheaper than the rest, and in my humble opinion - better than the rest.
Sure, they're more complicated, harder to understand and use - but this just makes the challenge - and the sense of satisfaction one gets when succeeding - so much better.
PIC Microcontrollers, too, are industry standard - you're not going to see an Arduino gracing the innards of a Nuclear Power Plant or a military jet - no, you're likely to see something more along the lines of what you can learn to program here.
This site, catering to New Zealand consumers and enthusiasts, was set up because there aren't a lot of easy resources or tutorials on the web for PICs. We're a rare bunch. This makes us more awesome. So please, look around, learn something, and most of all - have fun!
